Important information on the subject of “building approval”

The DIBT (German Institute for Construction Technology) published a statement on August 16, 2016 with the following content:

On October 16, 2014 (Case C-100/13), the European Court of Justice (ECJ) made a judgment stating that national approvals may no longer be used after a reasonable transition period of 2 years.

"As of October 16, 2016, general building approvals or other national proof of usability, proof of conformity and additional Ü markings are no longer possible for harmonized construction products with the CE marking in accordance with the Construction Products Ordinance for product services. The regulations for Ü markings are no longer possible for these construction products A corresponding official announcement from the DIBT will follow.

The assessment and test results on which the general building authority approvals are based can be used as qualified technical documentation for assessing usability until new findings become available."

However, we have provided some approvals in the download area as a guide.

However, the corresponding CE documents currently apply.
